Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing the company's overseas legal management system.
- Review, revise, and translate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in English and other foreign languages; identify and highlight contractual risks.
- Conduct legal research on the laws, regulations, and policy environments of relevant countries/regions pertaining to the company's overseas operations (e.g., market entry, new product launches).
- Monitor the latest developments in international commercial law (e.g., CISG), data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), export controls, economic sanctions, and other relevant areas; provide summary reports.
- Handle compliance matters related to cross-border business, including but not limited to trade compliance, anti-corruption, and data security.
- Monitor legal developments in subsidiaries and key operational countries; produce risk assessment reports.
- Act as a bridge between internal teams and external overseas legal counsel, consultants, and clients/suppliers; manage email communication, schedule meetings, and prepare meeting minutes.
- Assist in handling straightforward cross-border dispute resolution matters, such as evidence collection and document preparation.
- Conduct international legal training and foster a culture of compliance.
- Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher; a major in Law or related field is preferred. Possession of certificates such as CET-6, IELTS, or TOEFL is required. English must be functional as a working language, with the ability to draft, review, and translate English legal documents and commercial agreements. Proficiency in conducting cross-border conference calls, emails, and face-to-face communication in English.
- Solid foundation in legal theory, familiar with Civil Law, Commercial Law, International Economic Law, etc. Understanding of the fundamental legal framework and processes governing international commercial activities (e.g., international sales of goods, FIDIC contracts).
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment.
- Overseas study background or exchange experience is preferred. Familiarity with common law systems (e.g., UK, US) is an advantage.
