Purpose/Objective
Drive material cost reduction and supplier base optimization to yield the best cost and quality for the assigned commodity for Shanghai operation.
Area Of Responsibilities
Negotiate the terms and contracts for the assigned commodity to drive the best in term of total cost of ownership for the company. Participate in the VAVE activies to drive material cost reduction, and support the new product development. Participate in the supplier audit activities to secure a capable supplier base regarding quality, delivery, code of conduct, risk and environment. Communicate requests and assure expedient and reliable corrective action from the supplier if a problem or failure occurs that is relevant to the Supplier's product .This includes working closely with other departments company internally and supplier externally. Implement ongoing supplier management process and drive continuous Improvement. Collaborate with QA Personnel, R&D and other departments as required. Other tasks may be assigned by the company or managers.
Person Specification
:
Bachelor degree, Engieering or similar 5 years working experience and 2-3 years above experience of commodity sourcing Solid sourcing experience in the region and familiar with Quality Management System and Supplier Audit Good negotiation and commercial skills Basic knowledge of mechanics processing Project Management Skills/ISO Medical Knowledges Align methods / tools / processes with RA/QA/IE in supplier selecting and qualification, as well development from continuals improvement perspectives Cooporate with each department and implement and follow strictly the company regulations Good team player Good Command of English Computer level: Proficient with MS office and SAP application.
