该职位来源于猎聘 Purpose of Position: Manage press tooling programs at suppliers. Make sure press parts quality meet OEM standard. Make sure Press Tooling & Checking fixtures quality meet OEM global press tool standard TDS . Support Engineering changes, cost control, etc.

Main Responsibilities: The Press Tooling Engineer's main tasks are

  • Support within the areas of: Support resolution of all design for manufacture concerns with press shops and toolmakers.
  • Coordination of technical information and decision flows to supplier, ensuring supplier commitment and ownership whilst protecting engineering integrity. Identify issues which require escalation to internal and external management. Escalate in a concise and timely manner.
  • Ensure supplier provides timely cost and feasibility responses to Product Change Requests (PCR's) and issues via aims process. Ensure suppliers timing plans meet overall project aspirations. Support implementation of change within project timing ensuring base plan is maintained.
  • Work with toolmakers and first tier suppliers on resolution of process, design, manufacture, try out and home line commissioning problems.
  • Ensure suppliers measurement and fixture strategy is defined and meets OEM requirements. Validate measurement and control process, manage error states to closure.
  • Support supplier in optimizing tool engineering processes while ensuring part quality is not compromised.
  • Support process and tool design buyoff events, against required specifications, through the EQAP gateway process. Advise technical solutions / guidance to suppliers.
  • Support toolmaker and supplier in delivering tooling sets to OEM standard and fit for tool commissioning phase in OEM/ or Tier 1 suppliers' home line.

Experience | Skills required : 1. 6+ years in Automotive Stamping Tooling Business. Manufacturing feasibility, processing, die design or tooling program management). Experience with CATIA/Auto-form preferred. Familiar with OEM global tooling standard (WDX).

  • Time served tool making apprenticeship. With a proven track record in tool design and material forming experience
  • Demonstrated success in managing and delivering tooling programmes Including Tool manufacture and associated processes
  • Demonstrates ability to facilitate resolution of complex cross functional issues
  • Experienced within a Vehicle Engineering/Quality Function and familiar with project management systems and processes.
  • Demonstrates, Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. Being able to operate effectively with all levels of the organization. Showing self-motivation and ability to work under own initiative.
