Senior Design system designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Design System Designer to lead the development and maintenance of Avenir Group's design system. In this role, you will work closely with product designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define, implement, and evolve our design standards. Your work will directly impact the user experience across all of our products, from web and mobile apps to internal tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Avenir Group's design system, ensuring it aligns with our brand values, product vision, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to understand user needs, technical constraints, and business goals, and integrate these insights into the design system.
- Create, maintain, and evolve a scalable, reusable set of design patterns, components, and guidelines that improve consistency and accelerate product development.
- Advocate for a user-centered design approach and ensure the design system supports accessibility, usability, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of the design system into our digital products and platforms.
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback on product designs to ensure adherence to the design system.
- Lead design system documentation, making sure it's comprehensive, easy to navigate, and accessible to all stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to continually refine the design system.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented design culture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in design system development, UI/UX design, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and implementing design systems in a complex, cross-functional environment.
- Strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design practices, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex design concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Experience working in the fintech, blockchain, or crypto space is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory considerations in the crypto and financial industries is a bonus.
