Purpose of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join HH Global as we continue a journey of growth with one of the top global sports brands. Our client, a renowned sports fashion retailer, is expanding in the ever-evolving retail landscape, and they've entrusted us to support and enhance their in-store execution.
As a Senior Design Engineer for HH Global, you will be part of Client Service team working with Global Engineering Team creating technical documentation (detailed product drawings) for branded retail fixtures and store environments.
Design Engineers are an essential part of the development of any article; they ensure that the engineering of our clients´ designs are fully communicated through detailed drawings so they can be produced efficiently, economically, and to a level of expected quality.
Design Engineers must have a strong attention to detail, a background in engineering, strong communication skills, and be team players.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a lead in development of projects/articles in terms of structure, material and manufacturing processes
 - Generating 3D Modelling and Drawing based on client design brief
 - Generating 2D Drawings of approved 3D models
 - Document management (keeping all technical documents properly organized)
 - Support and supervise the structure during production, keep close communication with production team, Qc team and all suppliers
 - Communication & weekly meetings with Global and local team about capacity, workload time estimates and project progress etc.
 - Be able to take over one of the engineering support development responsibilities (library, PDM, etc.)
 
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
- High Knowledge of production materials
 - High knowledge of common production techniques
 - Fabrication experience in wood, metal, fabric, electronics, or plastics a plus
 - Able to sketch ideas by hand before using CAD 3D programs.
 - Mid-level overview of pricing levels for material and fabrication costs
 - Experienced in researching possible solutions
 - Experienced with assembly and installation of finished items (Shelving, Wall panels, Furniture, Sculpture) is a plus
 - Able to take appropriate notes during meetings to brief in team later (IE: Prototype review, supplier visit, etc.)
 - High experience with SolidWorks, additional another CAD program knowledge is welcome
 - Competency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
 - Fluent in English
