Responsibilities
For this position, you will design and develop AI/ML solutions using a combination of traditional machine learning, deep learning, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and intelligent agents to address various manufacturing challenges. Typical tasks include:
Developing predictive maintenance models using sensor data and time series forecasting techniques.
- Implementing quality prediction and defect detection models leveraging computer vision and deep learning.
- Applying large language models and generative AI for intelligent knowledge management, natural language understanding, and decision support.
- Creating intelligent agents to optimize production scheduling and operational workflows.
Collaborating with plant engineers and domain experts to identify data-driven opportunities and validate AI models in real manufacturing settings.
Communication: You will visualize, explain, and present AI/ML results, from traditional models to advanced generative AI solutions, to ensure clear understanding by business stakeholders.
- Implementation: You will work closely with software and automation teams to integrate AI solutions into manufacturing execution systems for real-time production support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, including traditional machine learning, deep learning, and modern large model/LLM technologies; manufacturing domain experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, as well as deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT), generative AI frameworks, and transfer learning techniques.
- Hands-on with typical manufacturing datasets: time series sensor signals, image/video data for vision tasks, text data for NLP applications.
- Ability to design, train and deploy AI models that integrate multi-source heterogeneous data for manufacturing problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Proactive, collaborative, analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
