About the role:

PopSockets is seeking a talented and detail-oriented In-House Production Designer to join our growing global creative team. Based in China, this role is an integral part of our U.S.-led creative operations, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across time zones. You will bridge creative concepts and flawless execution, ensuring all design deliverables are pixel-perfect, brand-aligned, and production-ready across digital, print, packaging, and retail. You'll be responsible for adapting and finalizing creative assets, maintaining consistency across campaigns, and supporting design, marketing, and product teams to bring PopSockets' bold visuals to life on a global scale.

Project Description/Activities:

  • General production designer services for PopSockets which may be inclusive of the following types of activities, but not limited to:
  • Prepare and finalize creative assets for print, digital, e-commerce, packaging, and retail displays.
  • Work within brand guidelines while offering creative solutions to production challenges.
  • Translate design concepts into production-ready files (die lines, mechanicals, campaign launches, etc.) with precision.
  • Maintain brand consistency across multiple touchpoints and formats.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, project managers, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Conduct pre-flight reviews and quality control on all production files.
  • Manage asset versioning, file naming, and digital asset organization.
  • Support with packaging various types of creative files, including applying creative treatments across templates, building out mechanical files, and ensuring all files are properly prepped and built to mechanical specs.
  • Support with final prepping and packaging of various types of files, including packaging labels.
  • Execute revisions as needed.
  • Handle quick-turn eCommerce needs, including the rapid development and deployment of digital assets for product launches and promotions.
  • Assist in the creation and adaptation of render and photography assets for paid advertising campaigns across social media and other digital platforms.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in a production or graphic design role, preferably in consumer products, lifestyle brands, or retail.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Ability to receive creative direction and briefs in English and effectively communicate feedback, updates, and deliverables with an international (primarily U.S.-based ) team.
  • Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, including early mornings or late evenings, to accommodate collaboration with teams operating in U.S. time zones.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and figma.
  • Strong understanding of print production, packaging requirements, and digital file formats.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience designing for global channels and adapting assets for international markets.
  • Strong organizational and file management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of color management, typography, and layout best practices.
  • Experience with packaging mechanicals and die lines is a strong plus.
  • Motion graphics, video editing or 3D rendering experience is a bonus..
