CAE is seeking a
Sales Assistant (Global Inspection Specialist)
to support our global physical commodities trading platform focused on semiconductor capital equipment. This role is based in Shenzhen, China, and involves frequent travel to client sites within Shenzhen and nearby areas.
This position will be responsible for acquiring and cataloguing high-quality asset data, photographs, and video which will then be sent back to our data, settlement, and trading teams in the US, Europe, and Asia. This individual must also excel at building business relationships, as he/she will represent CAE during on-site visits at client sites and will frequently communicate with our clients via phone, email, text and chat platforms. This position will report to the Operations Manager based in Hungary and will work closely with dozens of people in multiple positions across our global offices.
Responsibilities:
- Photograph, video, and catalogue semiconductor capital assets at semiconductor fabrication facilities, research institutions, universities, warehouses and other customer sites around the world.
- Mediate inspections and meetings between CAE's suppliers and buyers of semiconductor capital assets.
- Perform asset and site due diligence on behalf of CAE's trading teams.
- Acquire asset data including diagnostic reports, configuration and license files.
- Assist the Data Acquisition & Analytics Department in maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
- Actively email and cold call new and potential clients when not on inspection or traveling in order to introduce CAE to them and obtain useful information for our trading team to monetize.
- Methodically research our industry using both free and paid databases, message boards, social media and any other resources available to identify new companies and contacts that are relevant to our industry and business model in order to expand our proprietary database.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 1 year of cold calling or outbound sales experience
- Familiarity with the semiconductor industry is a plus but not required
- Forensic attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred
- Experience with CRM systems and databases
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in
English and Chinese (Mandarin)
required; additional languages are a plus - Proficiency in basic photography and file sharing services
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently, including occasional night and weekend trips
