Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager - M&A Integration
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior IT Project Manager to lead the technology workstream within our critical Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestiture projects. This individual will be responsible for planning, executing, and governing all IT aspects of integration and separation activities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing complex, high-stakes IT projects in an M&A context, from due diligence through to full operational integration/separation.
- Key Responsibilities:
· M&A Lifecycle Leadership: Lead the IT workstream throughout the entire M&A lifecycle, including post-close integration/separation.
· Planning & Strategy: Develop and own the comprehensive IT Integration/Separation Master Plan, including scope, timelines, budget, resource allocation, milestones, and critical path.
· Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary IT liaison between technical teams, business units, and third-party advisors. Ensure alignment between IT activities and overall business integration goals.
· Execution & Governance: Manage the end-to-end execution of the IT plan. Establish robust governance, reporting, and communication frameworks to keep stakeholders informed and ensure timely decision-making.
· Synergy Realization: Work closely with finance and business leaders to track and realize technology-related cost synergies and operational efficiencies identified during diligence.
· Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, track, mitigate, and communicate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans for critical path items.
· Vendor & Contract Management: Coordinate with procurement and legal to manage IT vendor relationships, software licenses, and service contracts during transitions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 8+ years of experience in IT project/program management, with a minimum of 5 years specifically leading IT workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, and/or divestitures.
· Proven experience leading at least 2-3 full end-to-end M&A IT integrations and/or separations.
· Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity, and data migration strategies.
· Expertise in developing business cases, total cost of ownership (TCO) models, and synergy tracking.
· Exceptional mastery of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet).
· Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives.
· Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage ambiguity, and navigate complex organizational structures.
Proficient communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Project Management Professional (PMP) or PgMP certification.
· Experience in pharmaceuticals M&A projects
