The HR Generalist will be responsible for overseeing administration of hiring, onboarding, retention, personnel records, compensation, benefits, long-term staffing strategies, as well as termination/offboarding processes, and if required, also the monthly payroll.
Responsibilities will also include development and administration of local/regional rules and regulations, pay and job classification structure. The HR Generalist will act as an ambassador for the deugro group ACADEMY and for our mental wellbeing platform by raising awareness, encouraging usage, collecting feedback and integrating it into local initiatives in collaboration with the Sustainability team, Global HR team and Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration, knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resources management
- Responsible for maintaining the business relationship with management and leadership including relationship management, communication, staff direction and motivation
- Ability to create and maintain a collaborative team and work environment; to build relationships and effectively work with all levels of employees
- Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities while remaining calm and controlled
- Works in partnership with Accounting for all HR systems data entry and monthly payroll allocation
- Plan administrator for all employee benefits
- Supporting in the recruitment process of new employees (research, interviews, offer letter, employment contracts, and onboarding)
- Must have good knowledge of internet sourcing strategies and direct sourcing techniques
- Good knowledge of local labour law
- Ensuring data quality regarding our HR master data strategy
- Analyzing existing HR processes, optimizing them if necessary and helping to drive the
- HR digitalization strategy
- Serving as the regional/local contact person for our employees on all HR-relevant topics, such as employee interviews of any kind, recruiting topics, or onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Contributing to global HR projects as well as maintaining close cooperation with other departments, such as Legal and Compliance, deugro group ACADEMY and Sustainability
- Promote the mental wellbeing tool in our viva engage channel by sharing specific resources, personal experiences or (anonymous) success stories/testimonials
- Promote the tool (currently OpenUp) in local branches by sharing upcoming events, creating engagement of the OpenUp viva engage channel or organizing mini campaigns highlighting the platform
- Encourage colleagues to use OpenUp / team managers to remind their team about the resources during check-ins or team meetings
- Support the sustainability team in any initiatives around mental health and wellbeing, such as actively promoting surveys to collect feedback
Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required
- Must have minimum 3-5 years' experience in human resources
- Advanced English speaking and writing skill
- Detailed understanding of HR operations processes and record of implementation of process improvement
- Demonstrated knowledge in recruiting related topics, like HR marketing, proactive research, interview methods, candidate management etc.
- Broad knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft programs to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong ability to respond to quickly changing demands and priorities
- Demonstrated experience working in an international setting and with different cultures
- Experience in the administration and further development of a global HRIS application
- Experience in the daily work with a global HRIS
- Analytical and business process driven
- Strong People Management and communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to integrate tactics and drive process improvements
- Willingness to travel nationally (~10%)
