Job Purpose

This position provides high-level strategic direction and leadership in critical areas of Global Supply Chain Excellence. Being responsible for performance management, capability building, supply chain resilience, continuous improvement and transformation. Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across regions and business. Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global supply chain strategies to integrate and streamline resources across different regions and business, aim to build up an agile and resilient SCM system to improve organizational capability to cope with increasing uncertainty.
  • Deeply participate into corporate strategy and business planning, as well as budgeting, to overall plan the operation of global supply chain, optimize and drive streamline of procurement, planning, and other important SCM processes.
  • Be responsible for cost control and risk management. Contineously drive cost efficiency including procurement, inventory management and operation excellence; build up strategic global vendor eco system.
  • Design and roll out global SCM digitalization, improve business decision efficiency and execution by driving data governance and systematization as well as data analytics.
  • Detailed daily responsibilities including overseeing various functions of supply chain including operations, materials management, distribution, value analysis, purchasing, contracting, and inventory data management systems; sourcing & Procurement operations to deliver operational excellence, productivity (COGS, OPEX) through strategic partnership, scale, value engineering and M&A synergies; supply chain planning and inventory management to ensure optimized stock levels while meeting SCM key metrics (customer service level, ITO, net inventory; production/materials planning to ensure proper scheduling of production orders to meet customer requested delivery dates and order fulfilment times while keeping the sales order backlog at target levels. Optimize warehousing strategies and inventory levels to balance cost and service levels
  • Build up capable global SCM organization through talent pipeline build up, talent upskilling and reskilling, as well as critical organizational capability development and mechanism building.

Qualifications

  • Ability to develop and implement long term strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier management, planning, cost reduction projects, LEAN, on-time delivery, supplier sustainability, strategic SCM or experience in a mature industry/healthcare industry/consulting.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage by the numbers but not lead by the numbers. Able to drill down into financial details but ensure business success by leading people
  • Excellent business, financial and negotiating skills are required along with knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing processes and project management knowledge
  • Customer focused, able to listen, adaptive, and action oriented to meet business needs while maintaining a positive, professional outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills that allow the successful candidate to extract core data from a variety of sources, draw conclusions and insights, and translate those insights into actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with business partners, suppliers, and global teams.
