Area Of Responsibilities
Preparation and processing of pathological samples

  • It is capable of performing hematoxylin-eosin staining (HE) and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining on paraffin-embedded samples provided by suppliers using HE staining machines and immunohistochemical staining machines, ensuring clear staining results without stripping or non-specific staining.
  • Screen the paraffin-embedded samples based on the staining results to ensure that the tissue samples meet the testing requirements.
  • It is capable of re-embedding qualified samples using a paraffin embedding machine.
  • Be capable of preparing high-quality paraffin sections (with a thickness of 3-5 μm) using a paraffin sectioning machine.

Bond III Chemistry Test

  • Conduct the release test of the Bond III immunohistochemical staining machine in accordance with the SOP and WI to ensure that the performance of the produced equipment meets the quality standards.
  • Use the HE staining and sealing integrated machine to complete the section sealing to avoid bubbles and impurities.
  • Operate the digital pathological section scanner to digitally scan the stained sections and store the data.
  • Microscopic examination was conducted using a microscope to assess the staining quality (such as whether the positive/negative control met expectations).
  • Record the test data, fill in the release report, and promptly feedback any abnormal situations

Laboratory equipment and sample management

  • Be familiar with the daily operation of common equipment in the pathology laboratory, such as section printers, paraffin section machines, and staining machines, and calibrate and clean them regularly.
  • Conduct daily management of the reagents used in the release test process.
  • Be responsible for the archiving management of paraffin-embedded blocks and stained sections to ensure the traceability of samples.
  • Comply with laboratory safety regulations (such as biosafety and chemical management).

*Cross-function collaboration*

  • Collaborate with the production, QA/QC and R&D teams to optimize the testing process.
  • Participate in the update and validation of laboratory-related Sops and WIs.
