Contract/Permanent: 1-year renewable contract (project till 2028)

Job Description

The Service Provider will act as the Company's representative at subsea connector manufacturing sites in China. This role ensures that the Contractor delivers tie-in components (such as hubs, connectors, caps), related tooling, and other equipment on schedule, in compliance with the Company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and meeting all required quality specifications.

Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the contracted scope—covering HSE, quality assurance, planning, logistics, technical compliance, and contractual obligations. The Service Provider will also monitor and guide Contractor and Subcontractor HSE practices at the worksites to uphold project safety objectives, protect personnel, maintain construction integrity, safeguard the environment, and preserve the Company's reputation for excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Confirm timely notifications are issued and ensure mobilization of third-party or Company personnel and contractors when required.
  • Verify that all personnel performing tasks are properly certified and adequately trained.
  • Ensure equipment is at the correct stage of completion (aligned with the Inspection and Test Plan) before starting any activity.
  • Confirm that approved procedures are available at the worksite, understood, and followed by responsible personnel.
  • Check that all tools and equipment used during control operations are in good working condition and certified where applicable.
  • Validate that consumables meet quality and quantity requirements for the planned work.
  • Ensure Job Risk Assessments (JRA) and Toolbox Talks (TBT) are completed prior to commencing tasks.
  • Maintain control of the work area, including barriers for pressure testing or lifting operations, and ensure adjacent personnel are aware of the task and associated risks.
  • Witness and verify that all steps of the control program are executed and properly documented (photos, charts, electronic records).
  • Sign off on control documentation upon completion of activities.
  • Oversee and evaluate welding activities and qualification programs.
  • Monitor testing programs to ensure equipment and tooling are suitable for intended use and conditions, with support from SPS discipline leads.

Job Requirement

  • 10-15 years of experience in subsea, subsea connectors or any other equivalent
  • At least 1-2 prior project experience that involved FPSO
  • Previous experience with Tie-In Products and Tooling, structures, Forging & Cladding
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Testing regime across all phases (factory acceptance, integration, Stack-Up and/or site receival)
  • Knowledge/Experience of manufacturing sequences and relevant Quality regime
  • Degree and/or Master in Engineering and/or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • QC qualifications/certifications are a plus
  • Languages: Fluent in English (Chinese / French is a plus)
