Overview of the Job: This role will lead a team responsible for the assortment strategy that supports NVS business. Optimize consumer demand & supply to serve consumer, drive profitable growth and take prompt action on inventory liquidation.
Job Responsibility:
Pre-season:
- Build strategic framework of seasonal product investment plan
- Lead NVS buy strategy by reconciling topline financials, consumer moments, closeout inventory status with bottom-up investment
- Align plan with input and collaboration from key stakeholders including Merchandising and Business Team
- Partner with Supply Planning team to secure capacity & plan inventory flow
In-season:
- Weekly analyze and recap marketplace performance
- Recommend key actions to cross function partners to optimize business
- Take action on pricing to drive sell-through & liquidation
Post-season:
- Analyze seasonal topline financials and product performance including sell-through, color performance, and SKU productivity
- Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders for future season planning
- Recap performance of key retail moments to provide insights for future planning
Responsive strategy:
- Integrate seasonal responsiveness & planning agility strategy (short lead time, flow, supply agility)
Team Management:
- Manage and mentor team members, fosteringa culture of collaboration and high performance.
Functional Skill Required (Hard skills):
- Buying, Planning, Assortment Planning experience with apparel in ND retail preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math
- Experience in developing an understanding of consumers, competitors, and retail trends
- Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business
- Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel
- Product Knowledge
- Fluent in Chinese & English
- Bachelor degree or above
