Associate Project Manager is the project leader for NPI programs. She/he is required to hold the accountability for the success of the project. She/he must be able to use the PDP process related, management skills and leadership to lead the CFT to accomplish the project as the project plan requires.
What You Will Do
- Customer focal point during the product development process. Communicates the voice of the customer to the
- organization with reference to the project. Install customer confidence in Molex and develops a positive relationship with the customer. Is responsive and timely to customer's request for information and deliverables. Manage the customer to ensure that Molex meets our Project plan and customer expectations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deploy the related activities and deliver new product launched on time and budget. Ensure that these teams achieve all customer and company requirements including quality, cost, delivery, product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Report barriers clearly and concisely to gain management action. Facilitate win-win scenarios between team members for the overall project benefit. Drive and focus the team on the execution of the Project Plan. Work efficiently and effectively with team members and their functional managers. Responsible to achieve the Project Plan requirements for Cost, Quality and Timing. Make sure the Molex New Product Development process and procedures are followed.
- Perform Project Management function. Make use of Project Management methodologies such as Action Item Lists, Team meetings, Change Control, Timelines, etc. to manage the team through execution of the Project Plan. Execute professional, informative and timely Project Phase Reviews.
- Perform Risk Management to protect the Project Plan. Work with product development team to identify potential risks to plan execution and identify appropriate Mitigation or Contingency Plans. Get management support for proactive activities to meet the Project Plan.
- Achieve financial performance by meeting the goals set forth in the Project Plan for capital expenditure (PARs), Cost Justification performance and expense budget. Document Annual Budget for open Project Plans.
- Work directly with Suppliers/customers (if needed) and purchasing to ensure that they meet Molex's expectation for timing, cost and quality in support of the Project Plan.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Participate in trainings, actively reporting and timely escalation.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- At least 5 years work experience. At least 2 years work experience in project management.
- Very good at English listening, reading, speaking and writing.
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office: Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Communication skill / leadership to work with cross functional team.
- Good attitude for multiple section coordination and have passion to work.
- Decision making capabilities, conflict resolution and risk management.
