Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities

  • Interaction with relevant Health Authorities and Government Bodies on advocacy issues, fostering relationships with key decisions makers in policy and legislative areas.
  • Represent J&J to participate and drive position in Trade Association Committees (i.e., EFPIA-China Network) and carry out tactical operations in the representation of J&J's external regulatory policy strategy.
  • Present in relevant professional organizations activities and Regulatory Authorities meetings and consultations
  • Seek and drive external opportunities to advocate the company position in relation to regulatory policy
  • Drive effective approaches to global and regional regulatory policy activities, including coordinate the J&J positions, policy shaping plans, tracking and internal communication.
  • Lead internal cross functional collaboration to reach the consensus for policy shaping
  • Lead the China/AP policy update to global and regional key stakeholders and drive the policy hot topic management.
  • Manage the regulatory intelligence by partnership with China/Japan/AP RA, regional and global colleagues including organize regular meetings to share AP regulatory policy & intelligence and landscape
  • Establish and cultivate strong business relationships with local and regional partners, for example, China RA/Government Affairs/local subject matter experts etc

  • Proactively identify issues and problems and assess risk and the chances of success and offer solutions and recommendations
  • Propose a solution to resolve the regulatory issue and well communicated to key stakeholders
  • Interpret the applicability of regulatory & legislation, and process/communicate to internal key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently across different businesses and culture on a worldwide basis to ensure global alignment and in compliance with key stakeholders.
  • Develop effective and highly communicative relationships across highly complex organizations of multifunctional personnel.
  • Exercise good judgment in assessing priorities and initiating projects
  • Propose input to regulatory issues in response to a changing regulatory landscape, conveying and influencing key internal decision makers

Education, Experience and Qualification

  • A degree Pharmacy, Medicine, or Science such as PharmD, MD or PhD.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing regulatory policy activities
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ICH guidelines and local regulations in China
  • Experience in engaging with regulatory authority, professional organization, or trade associations
  • High inspiration and ability to drive the challenge for improving the regulatory environment
  • Demonstrable of leadership profile and project management skill
  • Strong communication skill
  • Excellence English in written and verbal
