Job Description
Core responsibilities
- Team management: Lead and mentor an expediting team, assign tasks based on project needs, and assist with performance reviews.
- Manage staff: Supervise and provide guidance to other expediters and staff, ensuring consistency and high performance.
- Maintain documentation: Prepare and maintain all necessary expediting reports, material tracking logs, and other project documentation for management review.
- Supplier coordination: Act as a point of contact with suppliers to track production schedules, obtain engineering data, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues: Anticipate potential delays or risks and work with internal teams (like project management, engineering, and procurement) to implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate internally: Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, commercial, finance, and engineering teams, to ensure alignment and address process gaps.
- Logistics and planning: Coordinate the movement of goods and materials, develop expediting strategies, and participate in project planning.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Sourcing, Engineering or Sales and etc.
- Fluency in English
- Strong leadership and communication skills. interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics processes
- Proficiency with relevant software, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple conflicting deadlines.
- Strong organizational, IT, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and trade laws can be beneficial.
