Job Description
- Patient Support: Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction. Support every Impella case after completing internal training and PACE program to ensure clinical outcomes. Visit all institutions where patients have been equipped with Impella products to collect clinically relevant data,document results and communicate activities with other team members.
- Account Training / Account Management: Responsible to drive patient outcomes and utilization through algorithm, best practices, customer education and medical staff interaction for new and existing accounts including training needs assessment,development of suitable training plan, execution of training and any necessary follow up.
- Education/Clinical Demos: Deliver product and therapeutic knowledge directly to hospitals by organizing structured appointments & meetings with Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Intensivists, Heart Failure Specialists, Purchasing and Administration staff.
- Drive excitement, the cost-effectiveness proposition and vision of heart recovery for the patients who may benefit from Impella by working with multiple stakeholders (IC, CTS, HF, ICU) to understand and identify local dynamics and to address barriers of adoption.
- Responsible to support the planning and implementation of various clinical education (trainings, workshops etc.) & commercial programs (tradeshows, symposiums, dinner programs etc.) that align with company's mission of increasing education, awareness, and adoption of hemodynamic support.
- Identify and open new sites using structured program approach and launch protocol/best practices
- Experience selling in new therapy to multiple stakeholders and articulating cost-effectiveness arguments with strong passion for patients.
- Bachelor of Nursing or Clinical Medicine above preferred, or Biomedical Engineering degree in a health care discipline
- 3+ years overall experience in the healthcare setting within Interventional cardiology industry or Cardiac Surgery or related hospital setting. Cath lab, CCU experience preferred.
- 2+ years of clinical support experience working on an Interventional Cardiology Medical Device Commercial Team, specifically function in commercial, clinical training and education.
- Great Relationship with TOP center Interventional Cardiologists, CT Surgeon, Intensivist, Heart Failure Specialists preferred.
- Good Level of clinical skills preferably medically trained to technician or nurse level.
- High interpersonal and communication skills,
- Good communication, personality acceptable to customer
- Experience of working in a team environment
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Experience working in the operating room and awareness of how to conduct themselves in a sterile environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to travel 80% within required territory.
Requirements:
- Educational Skills: Clinical/technical (Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Biomedical Engineering in medical school) degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Perfusionist Certificate preferred
- Work Experience: 3+ years of direct patient support in a Cath Lab, ICU, or CCU require. 2+ years of commercial experience related to products and technologies utilized.
