The
Sr. Manager, Sourcing & NPI Procurement – Hardgoods
leads strategic sourcing and procurement activities for new product introductions (NPI) across the Hardgoods category. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring supplier readiness, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity for new product launches.

This position reports to the
Sr. Director Asia Sourcing & Supply Operations
and is based out of our
Dongguan
office.

As the Sr. Manager Sourcing & NPI Manager, Hardgoods, you will have an opportunity to:

Team Leadership:

  • Oversee and mentor a team of sourcing managers and specialists.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Define the business objectives with S.M.A.R.T. principle and support / lead the team to drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop team members by mentoring, coaching and training programs and establish succession plan

Sourcing Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and build strong partnerships.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian supplier landscape, including regulatory environments, cultural nuances, and logistics infrastructure.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with key suppliers to foster innovation and agility.

Cost Optimization:

  • Establish and maintain a robust cost framework for each product category.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage Request for Quote (RFQ) processes and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product designs and reduce costs.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate supplier finance and legal risks, supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to supply chain disruptions and pivot sourcing strategies as needed.

Digital, ERP system, Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators and identify trends.
  • Prepare regular reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Experience with sourcing platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer) and ERP systems.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sourcing and Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing and supply base management, preferably in the Hardgoods industry (helmet, goggles, protection etc.).
  • At least 5+ years of managerial experiences
  • Strong understanding of product costing, sourcing, and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong in supplier development and drive continuous performance improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Willing to be relocated internationally according to business needs
  • Professional certificates (CPM, CPSM) is a plus.

  • Experience in conducting factory audits and assessing supplier capabilities.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in a Southeast Asian language (e.g., Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa) is a plus.
