Key Roles & Responsibilities
:

Strategic Leadership & Architecture

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy for the warehouse, aligning with broader supply chain and corporate goals.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures specific to warehouse data domains (e.g., inventory, shipments, receipts, put-away, picking).
  • Define and monitor key data quality metrics (e.g., accuracy, completeness, timeliness) and implement corrective actions.

Technical Execution & Operations

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of complex ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate and timely data ingestion from diverse source systems.
  • Ensure the highest levels of data quality, performance, availability, and security of the data warehouse environment.
  • Establish and enforce standards for data modeling, coding, metadata management, and documentation.

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, data analysts, and data scientists to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business on the capabilities and best use of the data warehouse for reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to data warehouse technologies and services.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and BI developers.
  • Manage team resources, project priorities, and workload allocation for both ongoing maintenance and new development initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within the team.

Governance & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce data governance policies within the warehouse, working with Data Governance committees.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and internal audit controls.
