- Designs optical sub-system and module parts for optical telecommunication industry
- Develops new or improves existing products
- Performs engineering analysis required to verify design performance and reliability
- Designs and analyzes RFQ, customer SPEC, detailed design, DVT, FMEA, initial BOM building, execute design review
- Performs the project within budget & schedule, be able to work with global cross culture functional team
- Designs for lower cost and higher performance
- Designs for manufacturing and process
- Improve and optimize product design, process design
- Release optical parts and production BoM in Agile
- Processes troubleshooting and yield improvement Qualification & Requirements
- Master or Doctor degree in Optics, Electro-optics, Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background required
- 5+ years' experience in optical modeling, design and product development
- Knowledge of optical fiber communication in optics network architectures applications.
- Familiar with active components, passive components, subsystem modules and their test methods in optical fiber communication
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues in optical design and product development
- Design the new product architecture to meet the customer specifications or RI/RFQ
- Simulate the new optical modeling and design table experiments to verify
- Familiar with kinds of passive and active components applied in optical amplifier
- Knowledge of engineering theory and optical subsystems design criteria preferredliar with active components, passive components, subsystem modules and their test methods in optical fiber communication
