该职位来源于猎聘 This position reports to the Global Engineering Director; is accountable for the overall performance of the Custom Magnetics R&D Support team, leading the team to meet KPI and plan requirements for the Product Line. Essential duties and responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Provide necessary leadership to ensure the R&D team aligns to Product Line, and Division, requirements for NPD.
- Drives the Support team, consisting of Mechanical Engineers, Component Engineers, Cost modelers and Lab, to work within DFM rules for Magnetic components, and aligns with Operation team to ensure manufacturability and quality goals are met.
- Mentor and oversee the ongoing training, growth, and development of all team members.
- Develops succession plans to ensure stability.
- Controls budget to ensure growth plans are met, while focusing on key resource needs
- Maintain compliance to current Bourns standards, including IATF16949, VDA, ISO, etc., and customer specific requirements as applicable
- Provides support for Director of Engineering for Division, including tasks as and when requested.
- Assigns resources required to support new and running projects on request from R&D Design Team managers to ensure timelines and performance is met.
- Part of the Division Engineering council (when established) to help set R&D direction in the division.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement in R&D Support team, and assist in Operation when required.
- Ensure team aligns with corporate, division, and operation rules, regulations and culture.
- Ensure Cross-function Team mentality is embedded in the team.
- Assis Product Line Management in developing strategic roadmap and drive it accordingly.
- Design to cost, drive team to offer the innovative products with good/reasonable cost competitiveness.
- Act as a key cross function team member, support to release product smoothly to mass production per APQP requirements.
- Ensure team members follow actions per PPM. Qualification:
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Good communication skills.
- Experienced manager with minimum 5 years' experience in a managerial/supervisor role in an R&D environment years in Magnetics or electronics that utilizes magnetics components (e.g. Power supply, communications, etc.).
- Automotive product development experience, 3+ years and a familiarity with APQP.
