该职位来源于猎聘 As an Application Expert, you will work in the Kunshan laboratory to coordinate the application of prototype/development intumescent coatings. You will also provide support with certification tests in the AP region along with field application support on customer sites and training local FTS. You will report to S&T Senior Manager. Key Responsibilities Work together with the global application team to build regional application expertise for commercialized intumescent coatings and develop application processes for new product development intumescent coatings. Expand own and team knowledge, on spray equipment use so that all operators become experts on the equipment that they are assigned, ensuring quality application and safe operation. Develop an internal applicator team to improve skills, efficiency and expertise. Regular communication with spray equipment manufacturers and suppliers so that we are aware of the latest equipment innovations and maintenance plans according to their recommendations. Work with the development chemists, give constructive feedback on their prototype formulations to application properties and how to improve. Identify best equipment and settings for prototypes/new product developments. Provide application information for use on product data sheets and application guidelines. Support regionally AP customers/PPG FTS on site including application demonstration, providing training to site applicators and support to solve application complaints to maintain PPG reputation. Based in PPG Kunshan laboratory, expected to travel 20-60% of work time. Align with PPG EHS rules for daily work. Project planning and goal setting inline with required timelines, ability to change direction on short notice to respond to emergencies. Approve project application reports - Inspection of specimen condition, correct batch numbers & products to be applied, ensure all products have been stored correctly, rejecting if required and stopping the application when needed. Likewise rejecting substandard specimen samples and preparation which does not meet industry requirements. Provide presentations and feedback to project teams and management. Responsible for material, equipment and coating supplies and logistics including PPE - need to keep up to date on PPE requirements and understand how to interpret product safety data sheets to ensure that correct PPE is used.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Mechanical or Chemistry. Minimum 5 years' protective coating application experience. Comprehensive knowledge of all types of spray equipment operation, maintenance and application. Comfortable working with performance coatings chemicals, single and two components, solvent/water-based and polymers. In good physical condition and able to lift up to 25kg containers and work within application durations allowed by safety. Familiar with coating inspection equipment such as Elcometer 456, Elcometer 319 or equivalents. Knowledge in preparing risk assessments for coating applications. Project management experience. Experience with coating inspection and troubleshooting, inspector qualification preferred. Safe working practice – knowledge of/know where to find details for each application site – risk assessment before application commences. Quick at learning & adapting to new application protocols
