Job Title: Key Account Manager/ Sr. Sales Engineer
Locations: Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Guiyang
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation & Target Achievement:
- Achieve or exceed the assigned revenue quota targets for the designated territory or key accounts.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within existing and new key accounts.
- Key Account Management & Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at selected strategic accounts (e.g., major research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, industrial labs).
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with PerkinElmer's products, services, and solutions.
- Technical Solution Delivery:
- Utilize a deep understanding of PerkinElmer's product portfolio (e.g., genomics products, chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy) to deliver expert technical solutions and applications support to customers.
- Understand customer requirements and organize internal and external resources to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Strategic Business Development:
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify prosperous business opportunities and drive sales growth.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to ensure continuous growth at key customer sites.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, service, application support, and global teams to address customer needs and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in and contribute to a high-performing team environment.
- Sales Process & Project Management:
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation and monitoring to negotiation and closing deals.
- For service-related Key Account Manager roles, focus on selling service contracts, maintenance agreements, and holistic laboratory solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or related disciplines).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in key account management or sales, preferably within the analytical instrumentation, life sciences, or diagnostics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large, strategic accounts.
- Experience with chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, or related laboratory consumables is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical and business orientation. Understanding of laboratory workflows and customer applications in fields like pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, environmental analysis, or food safety.
- Language Skills: Proficient in oral and written English to effectively communicate in an international business environment.
