该职位来源于猎聘 Overview: The Product Development Engineer II is an experienced and passionate Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) Engineer, a core member of our product development teams, taking the lead on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) from the concept phase through to mass production. The primary mission is to ensure our floorcare products are designed for efficient, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing and assembly. Through excellent communication and evidence-based analysis, this position will drive design optimizations to fruition, ensuring the successful launch of new products with superior quality. Responsibilities:

  • New Product Development Support o Act as the manufacturing and product after sales service representative, deeply involved in all stages of new projects development (concept, design, validation, pilot run, mass production). o Lead and conduct DFMA reviews for new products, identifying potential design risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Design & Optimization o Provide design optimization recommendations for product components (plastic, rubber, and metal parts, etc.) based on in-depth knowledge of processes like injection molding, stamping, and extrusion to improve quality, reduce cost, and shorten lead times. o Lead the design and optimization of the overall product assembly process, aiming to simplify steps, reduce part count, eliminate assembly errors, and improve production line efficiency. o Design and implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions to ensure consistent and reliable assembly.
  • Communication & Coordination o Serve as a critical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality departments, ensuring manufacturing requirements are fully understood and integrated into the product design. o Proactively and effectively communicate with design engineers, project managers, and suppliers to clearly articulate the commercial and technical value of design optimization proposals.
  • Driving Solutions & Validation o Utilize evidence-based methods (e.g., DFMA reports, cost analysis, tolerance stack-up analysis, pilot run data) to build compelling business cases and persuade team members and management to adopt optimization plans. o Lead or participate in prototyping and pilot production runs; track and resolve design issues identified during these phases; drive the rapid implementation of design changes.
  • Knowledge Management & Standardization o Establish and maintain the company's internal DFMA guidelines and standards. o Document lessons learned from projects, promote the sharing and adoption of best practices within the team. Qualifications: REQUIRED CORE COMPETENCIES
