Regional Recruitment Officer - Beijing China

Overview

Navitas is seeking a highly motivated Regional Recruitment Officer to represent its partner, Curtin University, in Beijing and neighboring cities across China.

As Regional Recruitment Officer you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end recruitment of international students to Curtin University, ensuring overall recruitment targets are met in collaboration with Faculties and Australian campuses. This role will act as the key representative for Curtin University, overseeing all student recruitment activities, including agent management, university articulation programs, and engagement with government and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute recruitment strategies to achieve targets and drive sustainable student growth through lead generation and conversion.
  • Manage, track, and develop recruitment plans for all articulation programs and coordinate staff visits.
  • Oversee and train the agent network, conducting interviews and managing post-application follow-up.
  • Provide expert advice on admissions, program details, and alternative pathways to applicants, faculties, and agents.
  • Create and procure approved, localized marketing materials.
  • Analyze market and competitor activity; report on student conversion rates and provide strategic intelligence.
  • Nurture key relationships with industry partners, alumni, Austrade, and government bodies.
  • Gather visa processing intelligence to ensure compliance (SSVF/GTE).
  • Organize, administer, and attend local recruitment events.
  • Uphold the University's professional standards and values.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and relevant experience in marketing or student recruitment, preferably within the education sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in international education.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing international marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue student recruitment opportunities aligned with the University's strategic objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Australian international and higher education sector, including its regulatory framework, as well as familiarity with agent networks and institutional/student engagement activities.
  • Ability to work independently under broad direction and exercise sound judgment, particularly while traveling or working offshore.
  • Strong capability in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel local and international on a regular basis throughout the year.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and collegially within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated strength in consultation, negotiation, and cross-cultural engagement.
  • A strong commitment to representing Curtin University professionally.
