We are a prestigious luxury retail brand seeking a seasoned Marketing and Communications Professional to lead our expansion into the Chinese market. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of experience, preferably within the luxury sector, with a focus on retail. This hybrid role encompasses marketing strategy development, operational management, and effective partnership collaboration to drive brand growth and visibility.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications Development

  • Formulate strategies to achieve both short- and long-term business and marketing objectives that align with company goals and promote global market growth.
  • Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, creating an annual calendar and strategic plan that integrates online and offline channels, including advertising, public relations, events, and digital initiatives.
  • Create and activate a marketing calendar that enriches consumer experiences while boosting brand awareness and visibility.
  • Ensure all marketing and communication messages uphold brand consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies, coordinating efforts across departments to deliver cohesive messaging in line with the overall brand strategy.
  • Develop and monitor key success metrics for each initiative, providing regular updates to stakeholders and sharing best practices for continuous program optimization.
  • Act as a brand guardian by maintaining current brand guidelines and ensuring compliance across all initiatives.
  • Oversee budget control and allocation for marketing activities.

Field Marketing, Events and Operations

  • Lead communications, public relations, partnerships, and brand events within the region.
  • Plan product launches and festive campaigns strategically to drive sales and engagement.
  • Actively cultivate relationships with press and celebrities to enhance brand exposure.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of local market dynamics, prioritizing growth opportunities based on industry trends and insights.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement targeted public relations initiatives through effective collaboration with agencies and media, enhancing the brand's profile and visibility.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the international luxury and/or retail industry.
  • Proven track record in supporting strategy development and execution for global organizations.
  • Solid experience in marketing and brand building within the Chinese market.
  • Ability to create and execute launch campaigns for collections.
  • Established connections with KOLs, media, and industry influencers in China.
  • Experience in managing media and corporate events is advantageous.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
