该职位来源于猎聘 Position Overview: We seek a visionary Lead Designer to drive the creation and execution of large-scale public art projects across international markets. This role demands a unique blend of 3D modeling expertise, artistic innovation, and project management acumen to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest creative standards.

Role

  • The applicant should have 8~10 years minimum experience within an art/design, fine arts, architectural or construction related background and have a proven experience in a leadership role.
  • You must have experience in handling various types of international clients and large-scale complex projects. When facing clients, strong mental resilience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
  • You will have qualities that enable you to both empathize with and inspire your team.
  • Using your thorough understanding of the international art and/or design environment you will possess strong critical capabilities to ensure all creative outputs are in line with top international practice. Knowledge of the local landscape is equally important alongside a willingness to remain and grow professionally inside the Chinese/Asia Pacific Region.
  • You will conceptualize and develop original public art designs (e.g., sculptures, interactive installations, architectural integrations) and translate abstract ideas into feasible designs that align with client/community objectives..
  • You will coordinate with cross-functional teams (artists, engineers, fabricators) and global vendors to ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and safety standards.
  • You will partner with municipalities, cultural institutions, and architects to align visions and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback.
  • You will oversee design-to-installation processes, ensuring technical precision and material suitability.
  • You will troubleshoot challenges related to scalability, durability, and environmental factors.
  • You will collaborate with multi-departments for end-to-end project execution: timelines, budgets ($$$), resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
  • You will possess the ability to manage quality across all facets of the delivery process, from concept generation to fabrication with strong attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of multiple materials and fabrication methods and /or the construction and manufacturing delivery process is required.
  • An ability to offer constructive advice and direction to your team to help navigate through a project's aesthetic and pragmatic requirements.

  • Must have a minimum 8~10 years sound work experience in an art/design/architectural environment with a portfolio showcasing global projects.
  • Strong understanding of the creative and construction process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • High level communication skills in Mandarin and English is a requirement
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing situations
  • Experience in managing project budgets and thorough commercial understanding
  • Practical ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software applications, 3D Max, Blender, Two Motion, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Rhino
  • Foreign nationals or holders of overseas passports will be given priority consideration
  • Exceptional communication, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of sustainable materials/fabrication techniques.
  • Experience in grant writing or fundraising for public art.
