We are looking for an AP Coordinator / High School Team Lead for an international school based in Shenzhen. This is a full-time position available with an immediate start.

About the role

The AP Coordinator / High School Team Lead provides academic and operational leadership for the high school division, supporting teachers, students, and the Academic Principal to drive excellence in teaching and learning. The role oversees the Advanced Placement (AP) program, aligning with College Board standards and managing all exam logistics. It combines instructional leadership, cross-team coordination, and classroom teaching.

  • Lead and mentor the high school teaching team; foster collaboration, clear communication, and an inclusive, positive culture
  • Coordinate academic initiatives and regular team meetings; provide coaching and feedback to raise instructional quality
  • Oversee curriculum implementation and development; promote innovative, inquiry-based teaching and consistent standards
  • Use student data to track achievement and drive continuous improvement
  • Serve as the College Board liaison; manage AP registration, exam ordering/administration, and policy compliance
  • Train and support AP teachers; advise students and parents on AP course selection, exam expectations, and credit pathways; maintain accurate AP records
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and wellbeing with counselors and teachers; uphold behavior expectations and a safe learning environment
  • Develop and manage the high school schedule and course offerings; ensure timely communication with staff, students, and parents
  • Support school-wide events, open days, and marketing/admissions activities; assist with policy implementation and accreditation
  • Teach a minimum of 15 periods per week (Economics), including After School Activities; model high-quality instruction
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Current teaching certification
  • 5+ years of classroom experience; AP or other international curricula strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in coordination, team leadership, or curriculum management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with College Board platforms and AP policies/procedures, including exam administration
