- Technical audit & Process validation: 20% of position responsibility
- Responsible for conducting process control audits of factory.
- Analyze the process and be capable of suggesting improvements to the supply chain partners.
- Manage the technical and ethical status of each factory.
- Work with vendors & factory to improve the factory capability step by step.
- CFA Implementation: 20% of position responsibility
- Work in successful implementation of the CFA program.
- Knowledge of conducting pp meetings/inline/interim and final inspections is required.
- Work with the Max CFA designate to assess his inspection skills/conduct on job training to CFA/ensure that the brand requirement is well understood by the CFA and able to work independently.
- Assign priority of the product to the CFA so critical styles are well taken care of.
- Work closely with FKR to make the program successful.
- Train the teams on quality initiatives driven by the concept of the sourcing supply chain.
- Manage the CFA workload and ensure adequate number of CFA is present in the facility to handle business placed thru Max.
- Ensure that CFA is under no pressure and has been confident in taking the audit call based on the outcome on the audit result as per applied quality level (AQL)
- Ensure that reports of CFA and self-reports are updated in a timely manner and are in the required form to pull the DATA for purpose of Analysis.
- Conducting Training sessions/skill upgrading workshop: 10% of position responsibility
- Responsible for conducting training sessions on Quality Requirement of Max product.
- New on boarded vendors training on QA requirements needs to be addressed.
- Updating the vendors on changes and requirements of testing implemented by head office/ the destination country.
- Managing the PQA team members: 30% of position responsibility
- Get to know the PQA workload and make the adjustment if needed.
- Check and approve the PQA schedule.
- Communicate with PQA team members to understand their daily work & challenge and give the support if needed.
- Know the strength and weakness of the PQA team and enhance the team ability.
- Managing the key/risk vendor and critical program: 20% of position responsibility
- Work closely with the key and risk vendor to monitor the quality and production through the process monitoring, factory upgrading and CFA/QA training.
- Work closely with the PQA and assist them in sorting out quality concerns of production.
- Actively contribute on all projects run by the company. Additional Task and Responsibilities:
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Should be able to analyses the reports and should follow up with vendors and improvements required.
- Work on top three defects and run a program to minimize the same.
- Able to drive quality by empowering the vendors and at the same time having constant checks in place. Skills, Intellectual Demands and Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of garment construction and understanding of patterns.
- Hard core product knowledge on different types of products.
- Factory experience is preferred.
- Able to share suggestions and able to incorporate the best practices of the industry.
- Communication and team managing skills
- Ability to stretch and work in times of peak seasons of the year.
- Time bound execution of projects on hand.
- Drive quality Initiatives of the head office. Bachelor's degree in textile/fashion/garment related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
- Product testing knowledge of apparel is required.
- English knowledge and able to interact with the Head office is essential.
- Aggregating and generating weekly/monthly reports as needed by the head office.
- MS word/excel/power point skill is required.
