- Lead the supplier qualification process, including formulating and implementing annual supplier audit, development, evaluation, and improvement plan to ensure the supplier is in line with company requirements.
- Oversee new product qualification – ensure sample parts and manufacturing processes meet company requirements.
- Conduct process/product audits for existing bought-out parts, develop solutions, and support the claim handling process.
- Support category sourcing in annual supplier productivity improvements and category sourcing/supplier strategies development.
- Manage supplier quality-related databases and other computerized systems (e.g. SRM, Salesforce, Power Bi, Falcony, etc.) to maintain up-to-date supplier quality information.
- Develop and implement KPIs to measure supplier quality performance; regularly monitor, analyze, and track outcomes.
- Proactively assess and manage quality risks within the supply chain; create contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions, ensuring a resilient and reliable supplier network.
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards; implement quality management systems, conduct audits, drive corrective actions, and deliver training on quality and technological upgrades.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements; work closely with suppliers to implement best practices on quality and delivery improvement, cost optimization, and EHS/sustainability.
- Follow company regulations and EHS policies to ensure safety in daily work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or company.
- This position requires frequent travel (50% plus). Requirements:
- Min. 5 years of experience in quality management of welded components or supplier quality management in the heavy industry, with strategic sourcing background and solid understanding of different manufacturing processes, supply chain and R&D processes.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Forming and Control Engineering, Welding Technology and Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, or other related majors. Knowledge in prototype approval process (PPAP, FAI),
- Master the principles of common welding processes; familiar with associated processes such as welding, painting, and assembly as well as their inspection method. Priority given to holders of IWE (International Welding Engineer), CWI, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) related professional certificates
- Experience with ISO-9001, ISO-3834 or similar, able to manage suppliers' welding quality system in accordance with ISO 3834 (or other similar welding quality system) is a plus.
- Master common quality tools for root causes analysis, problem-solving and continuous improvement, etc. Lean Six Sigma certification as a plus
- Experience in risk analysis, supplier audits, analytics, and project management with continuous improvement mindset.

- Proficient in English communication (verbal and written), able to work with overseas colleagues independently (WOFE experience preferred)
