About The Role
As a Specialist, Logistics, you will be responsible for managing international logistics transportation within the supply chain and will be capable of performing supply chain-related tasks such as procurement and materials management.
What You Will Do
Shipping & Logistics Execution
- Manage the complete shipping cycle from supplier to end-customer delivery, ensuring flawless handover and compliance at each stage.
- Coordinate with factories, freight forwarders, and customs to plan, schedule, and execute shipments by sea, air, and courier.
- Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolve exceptions (delays, holds, customs issues), and provide timely updates to internal teams and customers.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and compliant shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, BOL, AWB, COO, customs declarations, etc.).
Order & Delivery Management
- Manage purchase order (PO) acknowledgments, delivery schedules, and shipment booking in alignment with customer requirements.
- Track order fulfillment from factory dispatch through final delivery, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and ODM partners to align production readiness, lead times, and delivery commitments.
Supplier & Forwarder Collaboration
- Act as primary liaison between factory, logistics service providers, and customers for all shipping and delivery matters.
- Track and manage freight forwarder performance, including service levels, and transit time optimization.
- Drive accountability across suppliers and partners for shipment readiness and timely documentation handover.
Customs & Trade Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to US and international trade compliance regulations (import/export laws, Incoterms, HTS codes, duties/tariffs).
- Identify and mitigate risks related to shipping delays, customs clearance, and capacity constraints.
- Manage escalation and recovery plans for logistics disruptions (port congestion, carrier shortages, geopolitical risks).
- HS code classification and INCOTERM monitor, especially for DDP shipments
- Customs clearance, Customs compliance and bonded operations
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report key logistics KPIs (OTIF, freight cost, transit time, customs clearance performance).
- Support cost optimization initiatives through freight consolidation, mode selection, and carrier performance management.
What You Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in global shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations (ODM/OEM or electronics industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of international shipping terms (Incoterms), documentation, and trade compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and shipment tracking tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with ability to work cross-functionally across global teams.
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Othe experience in end-to-end supply chain management is preferred to expand career development exposure but not required, such as demand/supply planning, procurement, material management, and/or production management.
