Our Engineering group leads in ensuring our products meet or exceed expectations of our customers.

In support of this, our Value Analysis and Value Engineering team helps optimize the value of our products for the amount of cost required to achieve those values.

They work very closely with the Design Teams to ensure function and intent are understood and maintained, and then apply creative thinking and problem solving skills to achieve uncommon results.

In this role, creativity and the ability to apply this type of problem solving to sound engineering judgement of materials and processes will be the most critical skill. Responsibilities:

  • Creative mind set with in comes to complex, highly restricted design constraints.
  • Sound judgement of fundamental Engineering principles and manufacturing processes along with their related materials.
  • Work independently and with peers to understand product design and design intent through study and understanding of 3D Component and Assembly models and 2D technical drawings.
  • Ensuring product integrity is maintain with proper understanding of compliance standards and potential product failure modes.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate technical and design risks in a given assignment, and strong understanding of FMEA methodologies.
  • Hands on support for Manufacturing process and Component Manufacturing.
  • Ensure all project and engineering documentation is properly recorded and archived using engineering due diligence and existing company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report project status and develop contingency plans to assure that product development tasks are completed within time and budget constraints.
  • Lead and ensure proper execution on all engineering milestone and phase deliverables.
  • Create and review test plans, test procedures, and test results to verify compliance with product requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform calculations and/or use computer analysis software to develop, analyze, and refine product models and design concepts. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • General knowledge and training on Value Analysis and Value Engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Preferred CREO) and 2D drawing creation.
  • General knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes required.
  • General knowledge of Manufacturing equipment used in component and assembly manufacturing.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills required.
  • Working knowledge of CAD Data Management systems Required - Windchill preferred.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience solving complex problems using proven engineering methods.
  • Self-Motivated to achieve and drive requirements to completion.
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated understanding of due diligence.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable being hands on with components, systems, and equipment.
  • Experience and comfortable in Manufacturing environments a plus. Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required in one of the following areas: i. Mechanical Engineering ii. Manufacturing Engineering and /Technologies iii. Mechanical Engineering Technologies iv. Mechatronics Engineering Technologies
  • Master's degree in related field a plus. 3. 3 years work experience in engineering preferred.
  • Skills to include Analysis, Collaboration, Judgment & Planning, and Organization.
  • A team player with individual leadership skills.
