YOUR TASKS
- Functional lead of delegated program purchasing group in the competence responsibility and management of materials on both electronics and mechanics, supplier, sourcing and others. Ensuring alignment with project cost targets, timelines, and quality requirements.
- Work collaboratively with project and product management team, engineering, production, and logistics teams to fulfill program specifications and requirements.
- As core target you achieve together with your team mates the material cost savings per given budget as well as target costs for new projects
- Oversee daily purchasing operations, directing and coordinating staff and activities in the procurement of goods and services for the organization.
- Analyze vendor quotations, market trends, product availability, and other data to make recommendations on product pricing, quality, delivery speed, and service excellence.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines to facilitate efficient, cost-effective operations.
- Maintain and update the organization's procurement platform on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting and inventory control.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to understand their logistic requirements and project timelines.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and discounts with suppliers to ensure the best possible financial outcome.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits, assess their performance, and provide feedback for improvement.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal laws and regulations related to procurement activities.
- Prepare and submit detailed purchasing reports and cost analyses to senior management for strategic decision-making purposes.
- Resolve issues that arise during project execution and participate in risk management to ensure the program meets its key objectives.
- Coordinate with the finance and accounts departments to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner and company spends are within budget.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and direction to the purchasing team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and change management.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
8 years' experience as a Program Purchasing Manager or similar role within a supply chain or procurement environment.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and proven ability to handle and manage contracts.
- Able to work under cost and timing pressure with deliverables on results, in a collaborated and constructive manner.
- Fluent business English is mandatory.
