We are looking for a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer who loves working with sensor data, loves developing novel algorithms, is not afraid of challenging, open-ended problems, and wants to help us shape the future of machine learning and AI for manufacturing. You will be located in TDK SensEI's Shenzhen office and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the growth of a burgeoning industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and eventually lead a small team. As a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Independently researching and implementing new machine learning techniques for use in TDK SensEI products
  • Designing, writing, and maintaining software supporting TDK SensEI's machine learning pipeline and research codebase
  • Designing and executing experiments to advance our understanding of machine learning with time-series sensor data and related techniques
  • Working directly with customers located in China and across the APAC region as needed on enterprise projects Skills & Requirements:
  • At least 4 years industry experience and Master's degree or PhD in relevant field (Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
  • Proven success with multiple ML/AI/classification projects (research papers, open-source implementations, etc.); significant work experience deploying production machine learning models for production or commercially shipping products
  • Expertise in one or more specific areas of research: automated machine learning, anomaly detection, condition-based monitoring, predictive maintenance, deep learning, signal processing
  • Expert coding ability and fluency with Python or other OOP language
  • Deep learning frameworks: Proficiency in frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch for model development and deployment.
  • Research-minded, ability to run experiments independently and present results to leadership and external clients
  • Data processing: Capability to handle large-scale industrial sensor data, including cleaning, preprocessing, and feature extraction.
  • Communication: Communicate technical ideas and project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 9.luent in English

  • Experience working with Gen AI applications
  • Experience with model quantization/compression techniques
  • Model optimization: Knowledge of model quantization and compression to boost efficiency on edge devices.
