We are hiring a Senior Quality Manager - China to join our Product Quality Assurance team.
Purpose:
This role is responsible for leading and overseeing Quality activities across the Greater China Region (GCR), with a strong focus on pre-market quality assurance for locally manufactured products. It plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Blackmores' global quality standards.
The role involves managing Quality personnel, supporting new product development and product changes, and ensuring the timely release of locally manufactured products. It also requires close collaboration with local market teams, suppliers, and regulators, while maintaining strong alignment with the Head Office Quality function. In addition to pre-market responsibilities, the role also provides oversight and support for post-market quality activities across the region.

To lead and champion the Greater China Region Quality team in respect of all Quality activities and standards. Specifically, this role's main purpose is:
Quality Leadership
- Develop procedures, controls and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain appropriate quality reporting metrics.
- Ensure the Quality team is high performing and technically competent.
GCR Market QA Responsibilities (Pre – Market)
- Inspect and release local manufactured finished goods against product specification.
- Review certificate of analysis against product specification.
- Review / Audit Batch records from manufacturers.
- Control release status of products in Blackmores business system.
- Advise manufacturers of Approval to release. (Release for Supply function)
- Maintain local Quality batch documentation and retention samples.
- Assess and resolve product issues with the local manufacturer.
- Generating and managing NCRs (non-conforming reports) for local supplier issues.
- Co-ordinate local laboratory testing as required.
- Support Product Quality Improvement Process with local manufacturers.
- Perform on-site audits on local market or regional manufactures as directed.
- Perform on-site audit on regional raw material manufacturers as directed.
- Liaise with Product Quality on NPD and product changes to existing products.
- Assist with Product Specification Approval and Product Change Control, including label checking.
Who are you?
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant science discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Life Sciences).
- At least more than 5 years of experience in a commercial related product quality management role coupled with knowledge of working in a regulated GMP manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of GDP and GMP Quality Systems.
- Proven organisational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold Quality standards in a commercial setting and work effectively across diverse cultures and markets.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders (cross-markets China and Australia), including regulators and suppliers.
