We are looking for Branch Manager in Shanghai, Qingdao and Shenzhen. The Branch Manager is responsible to lead and manage the local sales, the operations and the customer service of the branch, ensuring alignment with the NMS objectives. The Branch Manager is responsible for the development of the local customer portfolio, operational excellence, and team leadership.
Job Description
- Commercial: Develop local customer portfolio, identification and escalation to Global Sales team of opportunities.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise daily operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Budgeting: Prepare and monitor the branch's annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Profitability & Collections: Analyze file profitability and manage customer balances and collections.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key local clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Process Compliance: Ensure active compliance with the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Environment, Compliance, Health & Safety, AEO (where applicable), Data Protection, and GDP.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on branch performance, market trends, and operational KPIs to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across operations, local sales, and customer service, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide feedback to support individual and team growth.
- Talent Development: Identify training needs and promote career development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and engagement.
- Culture & Collaboration: Foster a positive work environment based on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Workforce Planning: Ensure adequate staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational demands and strategic priorities.
- Risk Management: Identify operational and commercial risks and support mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the branch in internal and external forums, maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote innovation and process optimization across all areas of the branch.

Minimum Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field.
- MBA or Management Development Program is highly valued.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Additional languages are considered an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Maritime and Shipping companies (Agencies, Carriers, MLOs, …)
- Proven track record in local sales development, operational management, financial oversight, and team leadership within the maritime or logistics sector.
