Job Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing the contract, production, logistics, and commissioning of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project management, particularly in battery storage, and will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and direct end-to-end project management of BESS projects across the APAC region, from initial contract negotiation through to commissioning and handover to customers.
  • Coordinate feasibility analyses for projects, develop project assignment books, and build effective project teams post-establishment.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure customer projects meet regional needs, while leading cross-cultural teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee project quality, cost, schedule, communication, and risk management in compliance with industry standards across the APAC region.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution across diverse environments.
  • Manage project schedules and conduct comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards in the region.
  • Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively address any technical or logistical challenges.
  • Support business development by providing strategic technical insights and input for new BESS opportunities within the APAC market.

Qualifications:

  • 7-9 years of experience managing BESS or renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or grid-scale storage).
  • Business fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is a significant advantage. Knowledge of additional languages (Japanese, Korean, or other APAC languages) is a plus.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent intercultural communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and risk mitigation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry.

Willingness to travel for business (up to 60% of working time).
