- Responsible for HP heater concept generation, FW development, heater prototype development, DOE design and device integration.
- Design DOE to verify hypotheses and record relevant data, generating technology dossier for HP heater fundamentals.
- Understand simulation fundamentals and collaborate with simulation team to incorporate simulation result in concept design.
- Responsible for conducting market research, tearing down and analysing key heating components in vapour device, and testing to obtain original data.
- Maintain regular contact with numerous internal and external teams/departments to ensure deliverables and end goals are consistent and achievable.
- Work with both internal and external partners to optimize material selection and mechanical design and provide input to procurement in supplier selection – including identifying key technical requirements- to optimize design and deliver consumer value, with consideration of manufacturability, cost, and quality. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- Electronics, FW and / Or mechanical experience in product design and manufacture process.
- Hands on experience in component design or FW coding and evaluation for consumer devices.
- Experienced in mechanical design and material process, familiar with plastic, metal etc
- Experience of teardown and measurement included some operation of instruments of research.
- Experience of regulatory compliance requirements for consumer electronic devices.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- The ability to analyse problems and design hands-on experiments to verify and solve problems.
- Planning, implementation, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Persistence, attention to detail, and great collaboration skills working internally and with external partners.
- FW coding or CAD Software experience (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Altium etc.)
- Heat transfer knowledge and hydraulic knowledge is mandatory
- Simulation experience in thermal and hydraulic is preferred.
