The Director of Quality Operations is pivotal in overseeing the quality assurance, quality control, inspection and test and supplier developments activities and processes within the product life cycle within our organization

This Quality operations role will ensure that the design, development, and validation of product versus product specification / consumer satisfaction is realized ahead of product launch

To ensure that the project risk assessments are reviewed and prepared in advance for review at a senior level. For all critical issues to be determined with clear action plans in place to mitigate the risk

The scope of the Quality operations role will also include the review and assessment of development programs for 1st & 2nd tier suppliers. To ensure that all suppliers are fully engaged and that all risks are recorded with mitigation plans in place

This role will help to ensure that products and services meet consistent standards by developing and implementing quality management systems, policies, and procedures

The Quality Operations Director will collaborate closely with various departments to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. The use of Quality Data / KPI's to drive ongoing improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Quality Management

  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within quality and operations

  • In depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements

  • Experienced in applying ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality methodologies

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and to identify trends

  • Lead auditor qualification preferred

  • Experience with supplier quality management processes and systems

  • Strong project management skills and experience with driving continuous improvement programs

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Fluent in Mandarin & English

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily management of quality operations to ensure compliance with both company standards and regulatory requirements

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System and associated Quality KPI's, to enhance overall quality performance

  • Lead, mentor, and provide direction to the quality team, including performance feedback

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality procedures and policies and to determine further opportunities for improvements

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions

  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Ensure all products and services meet customer expectations and satisfaction

  • Coordinate and oversee supplier quality management processes

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency

  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to the leadership team

  • Facilitate training programs to educate employees and suppliers on quality standards and procedures

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during audits / assessments

  • Drive quality related projects and initiatives to support organizational goals
