Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
- Manage and develop Drive Products Division local R&D organization in China developing LV drive and servo drive according to business needs to meet global and local market requirements
- Managing power electronics team, participating in R&D project development from PE domain, collaborating with other R&D teams
- Continuously enhancing the competence of the team in developing best-in-class drive products, utilizing your own knowledge and experience, as well as the ABB local/regional and global organizations. Develop team key competences and identify competence gaps in terms of different areas in power electronics and make solid improvements with support from global team
- Take the lead in the process of product design and maintenance. Implement and follow global processes, involve local R&D organization to national and international standardization
Qualifications For The Role
- Master or doctor degree in Power Electronics, Automation, Electrical /Electronic Engineering, or other relevant field
- Strong technical background in the area of LV drive, power converters and other industrial products
- Good R&D process knowledge including product creation process and project development (Gate) model
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanical and software design processes
- A complete experience in designing electrical products
- Strong background and experience on people management and leadership
- Strategic long-term thinking and ability to turn it into short term execution plan
- Leading the change towards lean & agile product development
- Good cooperation and negotiation skills when working multicultural environment
- Strong networking skills with global R&D
- Open-minded thinking
- Good English skill and interpersonal skills
