Thermal Engineer
Responsibilities
- As an independent contributor to support Thermal DOE activities in OEM factories, including cross-functional discussion with DRI on DOE matrix implementation, and working with factory team to fulfill design validations and report.
- Factory DOE data review and analysis, issue highlight, failure analysis, and regular DOE report in a comprehensive and timely manner from high level design perspectives.
- Execute / modify testing scripts to help factory lab unblocking special test request or data processing format.
- Working with DRI on factory team training or new lab set-up.
- Short-term travel across OEMs by project need is a request (domestic mostly, limited time to Vietnam). Overall not over 30% annually.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related.
- At least 3 years experience with strong background on system level Thermal design and validation in consumer electronics or related industries, such as smartphones, tablet, wearables, audio products, etc.
- Good data analysis and independent failure analysis ability.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skill.
- Capable of working independently. Self-motivated individual.
- Familiar with OEM new product development process is a plus.
- Some basic coding skill (Perl, python, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience in CFD tool is a plus.
