Title: Logistics Specialist
Our client is a global manufacturer specializing in connectors, cable lugs, tools for their installation, cable glands, automatic and manual marking systems. A wide range of products has also been developed for the installation and maintenance of fixed installations and rolling stock in the railway sector.
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing all shipments with DDP Incoterm, contacting all 3PLs, obtaining the best quotation, and handling the entire shipment process from global headquarters in Europe to the final customer in China. That means also arranging the pickup of the goods from the factory to the customer in China for shipments with delivery term DDP.
Responsibilities
- Daily import shipments handling and management.
- Apply and keep update the licenses, certificates related to import.
- Manage all the necessary Customs documentation to clear the goods.
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with local Customs authorities.
- Manage 3PLs, set up KPIs and regular monitor suppliers' performance.
- Cost settlement and continuously improve the import process.
- Handle all logistics-related transactions within the SAP system.
- Projects coordination and management - new import materials, bonded processing.
- Manage the outsourced warehouse where company will store materials purchased in China or imported on its behalf from the headquarters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international shipping or other related areas.
- Fluent in English.
- With 5 years or above working experience in Customs affairs, trade, and logistics relatives, familiar with Customs import and export regulation.
- Solid knowledge and high sense for trade compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong communication skills.
- Familiar with MS office, and SAP experience will be an added advantage.
