In collaboration with APAC Technical Service Manager, Field Technical Engineers (FTE) for China Interventional will oversee the establishment of an effective and efficient field service process for relevant Teleflex Interventional capital equipment sold by Teleflex in China. The FTE will provide guidance and support to country Field service teams to ensure that they are appropriately trained, certified and equipped to effectively and efficiently provide technical service to the end users of the above related products.

In addition to the above, in-collaboration with the Quality assurance teams, establish a process to ensure that all relevant and required information of field service is captured and stored appropriately, and that all quality and training requirements are met in accordance to both global and regional requirements. The FTE will also work collaboratively but not limited with the APAC/ China Technical colleagues, countries commercial, customer service and quality team to ensure that we have a service program customized for China that helps to sustain long-term capital equipment sales programs. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role.

  • Inspection of incoming medical devices to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Repair and perform preventive maintenance on devices that fail inspection.
  • Ensure all serviced devices meet performance and safety standards before release.
  • Manage spare parts, service tools inventory, and training devices to support efficient operations.
  • Support inbound and outbound logistics for devices.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Ensure servicing activities comply with China NMPA regulations and other applicable standards.
  • Partner with Field Technical Engineers to ensure successful development and implementation of field service-related initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed logs of service activities and calibration records for traceability and compliance.
  • Conduct or support technical certification training for internal and external engineers.
  • Maintain training records to ensure traceability and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Led or supported internal audits in China to evaluate service operations and implemented Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve and mitigate service-related non-conformities, ensuring compliance with regional and corporate quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all Teleflex China Field Technical Engineers (internal and distributor) adhere to technical service Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with established quality standards, as well as support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned by direct manager.   EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum level of education/experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in medical device servicing or technical support.
  • Familiarity with China NMPA regulations is essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Good command of English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
  • Ability to travel within China as required. SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Additional preferred or required qualifications.
  • Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of the medical devices field service segment.
  • Ability to analyze and critically assess issues related to the proper functioning of a capital equipment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and work with technical service teams
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
  • Hands-on experience in device troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and a strong understanding of China NMPA regulations.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, Powerpoint and service management tool. TRAVEL REQUIRED: 30% to 40%
