该职位来源于猎聘 Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer – China Operations (Flooring) Location: Mohawk office, Shanghai, China Reporting to: Local R&D Department Dotted Line Reporting: European Quality Department (Belgium-based) Job Purpose We are looking for a hands-on and quality-driven Quality Assurance Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our flooring products meet European quality standards and sustainability expectations. The coordinator will act as the key link between the local Chinese operations and the European team, ensuring robust quality control, proactive risk management, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Quality Monitoring & Inspection
- Conduct in-process and final product inspections using structured sampling plans.
- Organize and evaluate laboratory tests to verify compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.
- Perform pre-shipment quality checks and ensure non-conforming products are blocked.
- Monitor stock inventory for potential quality issues and initiate holds or re-inspections when needed.
- Implement additional control measures when necessary, always with respect for the supplier's existing quality system.
Issue Management & Escalation
- Investigate quality deviations, complaints, and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with the supplier to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure containment actions are taken swiftly to prevent defective products from reaching customers.
- In case of recurring or critical issues, initiate temporary intensified monitoring and reporting until resolution. Quality System & Documentation
- Identify Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters for new or modified products.
- Update and maintain control plans, inspection protocols, and quality documentation.
- Ensure traceability and audit-readiness of all quality records. Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and share frequent quality reports with both local and European stakeholders.
- Ensure clear, structured, and timely communication in English regarding quality status, risks, and improvement actions.
- Act as a liaison between the supplier and the European quality team, facilitating alignment and transparency. Innovation support & Risk Detection
- Support the introduction of new products or process changes by identifying potential quality risks early.
- Support to evaluate new materials, designs, or production methods for their impact on product quality and sustainability. Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of quality ownership and proactive problem-solving within the supplier's team.
- Lead and support improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable results and follow-up.
- Collaborate with local operations to embed quality thinking into daily routines. ________________________________________ Profile Requirements
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken, written, and reading).
- Bachelor's level or above in relevant science and engineering majors. Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in flooring, building materials, or consumer goods. Experience with ISO standards, QC tools, and European compliance expectations is a strong asset.
- Solid understanding of quality principles, sampling methods, and lab testing procedures.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to detect patterns and root causes.
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and build trust across cultures.
