Job Description:
- Market Strategy Development:
Lead market research and customer demand analysis for the African new energy market (focus on BESS systems), and design targeted sales strategies and implementation plans. - Competitive & Customer Insights:
Conduct competitor analysis, build customer profiles, and drive intelligence gathering to identify growth opportunities. - Sales Target Delivery:
Take full responsibility for achieving annual direct sales targets in the African region, ensuring timely completion across all assigned product lines. - Client Engagement & Negotiation:
Develop and maintain direct engagement with key African energy companies, EPCs, and government departments, including technical exchanges, proposal presentations, bidding, and contract negotiations. - Belt and Road Client Support:
Collaborate closely with Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and Belt and Road initiative clients in Africa, aligning with China headquarters and supporting their local energy storage projects. - Customer Development & Relationship Management:
Expand customer base in Africa, ensure satisfaction ≥90%, and promote continuous repurchase and upselling. - Project Execution Support:
Partner with technical teams to deliver customized solutions, following through from design to implementation. - Delivery Coordination & Milestone Management:
Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure all project milestones are met on time. - Policy & Strategy Optimization:
Monitor energy policy and business environment changes in key African markets, provide insights for strategy optimization, and deliver regular market intelligence reports.
Skills Requirement:
- Industry Experience:
5+ years of sales experience in the new energy industry, with a proven track record in energy storage sales to both Chinese SOEs and African regional clients. - Belt and Road Project Experience:
Demonstrated capability in supporting Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects in Africa, ensuring effective cross-border collaboration between China headquarters and local operations. - Local Market Knowledge:
Familiar with the business environment, government processes, and compliance requirements of key African countries; experience working with major utility companies is preferred. - Channel Resources:
Strong understanding of local sales channels with the ability to build and manage cooperative networks. - Technical Understanding:
Solid basic knowledge of and energy storage systems, including key product parameters - Education:
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, New Energy, International Trade, Marketing, or related fields. - Business Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; solid understanding of international contract terms and risk management; hands-on experience in the African market is preferred. - Collaboration & Adaptability:
Strong cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills, with resilience and self-motivation; able to manage frequent travel and multitasking effectively.
