Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling and Supervision:
Execute the scheduling and control of production to meet customer requests and sales demand.
Coordinate production orders completion and timelines and deliveries with internal and external partners.
Interface with third-party vendors.
Manage the Customization Center and the 3rd party operation staff, ensure efficient assembly operations of automatic transmission equipment as well as continuous improvement of productivity.
Manage all activities related to the receiving and shipment of goods, including verification of necessary documentation and packaging as per customer specifications.
Perform and plan daily modifications and calibrations.
Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for equipment needs, including Bauer Loadstation, SAP terminals, SAP scanners, RF guns, SAP server, and Allison network.
Coordinate the inspection and document the maintenance of equipment, Bauer loadstation, forklifts, gages, and business-critical tools.
Work with industrial engineering in HQ as needed.
Perform Safety observations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with Industrial Engineering and IS&S IT for equipment maintenance and updates.
Create new SAP user accounts and maintain as required.
SAP MM Warehousing setup (bin, packaging, and others)
Execute and manage layered audits, PRM Audits, Safety Audits, Internal Control Audits etc.
- Documentation and Work Instructions:
Create and update work instructions in coordination with Customization Center workers to ensure feasibility and efficiency.
Oversee the maintenance and updates of special pallets, packaging materials, jigs, and tools in collaboration with vendors and Industrial Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge and Problem Detection:
Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacture.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
Monitor and review information to detect or assess problems.
Support daily technical issues and inspect parts.
- Others
Serve as technical resource for Shanghai Customization Center to support as needed, including but not limited to the creation of production orders, equipment maintenance and development of work instructions.
Work with 3rd party team for warehouse layout improvement including the bin locations, racks, space etc. for high quality warehouse management efficiency.
Serve as a backup to the supply chain, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Cycle Counts and Inventory adjustment, Obsolete Inventory management (SAP Scrap), Physical Disposition.
Communicate cross functionally to work out aging units consumption plan through reconfiguration.
Manage the outsourced property management service including security and janitorial and ensure smooth operation of the customization center.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
Proven experience in operations coordination or a similar role.
Good communication skills in written and verbal communication in English.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards and procedures.
Preferred:
Team player
Ability to response actively on emergencies and improvise if needed within the standard processes.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Work Environment:
This position may require occasional travel.
The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment and processes.
