- DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
 - Responsible for the management of all Expediting activities within the assigned project. To ensure delivery by Vendors/Suppliers to the agreed scope, specifications and delivery date, of equipment, material, documentation and supplies purchased or assigned.
 - Accountable to the Project Expediting Lead & Procurement Manager for the success of the Expediting activities and deliverables in accordance with agreed schedules, milestones and cost focused at meeting the Projects overall schedule and profitability.
 - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 - Determination of the appropriate strategy with the Project Procurement Manager, Engineering, Fabrication, Operations (and others as appropriate) to ensure delivery by suppliers to the agreed scope, specifications and delivery date.
 - Ensuring the suppliers maintain progress to meet on time delivery by means of organising site visits, review of progress reports.
 - Ensuring submittal by the suppliers of their documentation and its return from us by the due dates,
 - Design and implementation of an optimum team aligned to the specific needs of the Project and the Expediting responsibilities and manages the activities of these people,
 - Providing regular and accurate status on the progress of the activities by means of appropriate reports,
 - Compliance with the Company's Procurement Policies, Procedures, and requirements.
 - Input into the supplier performance assessment activity
 - INTERFACES External
 - Suppliers/Vendors
 - Customers
 - Third Party Inspector (if require)
 - Third party Expediting Companies (if any) Internal
 - Co-ordinating with QA/QC and Engineering to ensure availability of personnel to meet the hold, witness, monitor and review points in the Test and Inspection Plan and final inspection release to shipping.
 - Liasing with Engineering and Quality to ensure the goods meet our specifications prior to a release to shipping.
 - Co-ordinating with Logistics personnel to ensure they are aware of ex works dates to enable planning for and ultimate shipment.
 - Working with Engineering, Procurement and Operations, Fabrication and Installation to:
 - Ensure effective interfaces and drive the deliverables and actions to enable the Suppliers activities and milestones to be met in support of the Project schedule
 - Resolve any issues which could adversely affect Suppliers progress, or Project schedule / cost,
 - CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS
 - Preferably having experience or worked in a Project based environment, understands the dynamics of Projects and the execution of Expediting in support of these.
 - Typically acquired through minimum 2~4 years of experience and knowledge of Expediting Engineered Equipment Package items and materials, as a Field and Desk Expeditor, with relevant professional and educational qualifications
 - Good leadership, man management, interpersonal, communication, managing change and networking skills
 - Has relationship management, business process improvement experience and actively seeks to deliver performance improvement
 - WORKING CONDITIONS
 - Based primarily in the Office, with ad hoc Expediting visits to Suppliers premises
 - Working hours are as per the company hours with additional hours being worked as and when necessary to maintain support to the projects business activities
