Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Assistant to join our Capital Markets Practice in our Beijing office. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working at international law firms, hold a law degree from a reputable university, and possess strong proficiency in both Chinese and English. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents related to capital markets transactions, including prospectuses, offering memoranda, and underwriting agreements
- Conduct legal research, verification and gather relevant information to support transaction preparation and execution
- Manage and maintain transaction files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and promptly
- Draft correspondence and other legal documents as required
- Assist in the preparation of closing materials and post-closing documentation
- Support attorneys in due diligence processes and regulatory compliance matters
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a law firm or financial institution preferred
- A law degree from a reputable law school in China
- Excellent language skills in Chinese and English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Eligible to work and travel in China for business trips
