Position Summary
The Product Line Manager for Metal and Laminates Products is responsible for driving the business strategy, product development, and profitable growth of the product line within Chomerics Division Asia. This role ensures the alignment of market needs, product development, and commercial execution by collaborating across global functions including sales, engineering, operations, and marketing. The Product Manager acts as the business owner for the assigned product portfolio, defining product roadmaps, competitive positioning, and strategic initiatives to achieve growth and margin objectives

Scope/Supervision And Interaction
Use of judgment in determining target market segments, product development, and product line management. Interact with Chomerics Global Platform Leaders of Metal and Laminates for alignment. Works closely with regional sales teams, application engineering, R&D, operations, and supply chain to ensure product and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product line strategies and annual business plans to achieve sales revenue, new business awards and net earnings goals.
  • Drive new product line development through collaboration with R&D, field sales and application engineering in achieving profitable goals and meeting market requirements.
  • Define and maintain product roadmaps and portfolio rationalization to align with business strategy.
  • Participate in new product development teams through making recommendations and evaluations on new product opportunities as outlined in the Winovation process.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in metal and laminates solutions.
  • Lead voice of customer (VOC) with customers and channel partners to identify new opportunities and translate market needs into actionable product plans or process improvements.
  • Manage full product lifecycle including pricing, positioning and cost management.
  • Support regional sales and application engineering teams with product training, promotional materials and product datasheet to enhance market penetration.
  • Support sales and marketing promotion through sales conferences, trade shows, advertising and promotional programs assistance.
  • Partner with operations, quality and supply chain to ensure continuous improvement in productivity, stable supply, quality and cost performance for the product lines.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory standards and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Material or Engineering related
  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in engineering or field sales in a related industry
  • Experience with compound products is prefer
  • Strong communication and business skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving/ resolution skills and a team focus.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal Mandarin and English.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications etc.)
  • Willing to travel
